Dark Horse Comics has added to the hype surrounding this summer’s new Indiana Jones film by releasing the cover for their trade paperback adaptation of The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Ignoring how hard it is to contemplate Shia LaBeouf as a sword-wielding action hero, the cover doesn’t really tell us much else.
There’s an old temple in the bottom-left corner, but I’d be pretty disappointed if Indy didn’t sneak into a temple at some point.
It’s not really the rip-roaring, old-school, movie poster-style image that I hoped it would be, with leering villains, damsels in distress and action exploding all around, but it has whetted my appetite for more.
The cover is by Steve Anderson. More details from Dark Horse here.
And check out this great Vanity Fair piece on the film, with exclusive pics.
