Exactly 65 years ago at 6.30am tens of thousands of young men stormed the beaches of Normandy. Of course, unlike this Michael Larkin artwork, Captain America wasn’t there. Thankfully, actual heroes were.

It’s Splash Page Sunday!
Holy shit. This is all kinds of awesome. It’s from Jim Steranko’s seminal three-issue run on Captain America, which kicked off in #110 (but skipped #112).
This page would be from the conclusion in #113 but I scanned it from Marvel Uk’s 1981 Captain America annual.
