Is everyone who works at the Daily Planet blind?

I know it’s part of the Superman mythos that all he needs to do is stick on a pair of specs and no-one realises that the Man of Steel is really Clark Kent.

So why is it that when his specs come off in last week’s Superman #675 that Daily Planet editor Perry White doesn’t recognise him? I mean, he’s looking right at him. What kind of a reporter was Perry exactly?

Superman's Best Pal eh? Ya dozy shite

It’s actually been strongly implied that Perry knows, but doesn’t say anything, to respect Clark’s privacy and keep his job normal. The same has been implied about Batman and Jim Gordon.

Those secret identities create so much interesting awesomeness…

Ha they do, but even if Perry knows that doesn’t excuse the rest of the Planet newsroom 😉

Thanks for dropping by the blog, always nice to see a new face!
