This was taken not long after I started working in local journalism, back in 1998. I volunteered to look like a tube by doing a fitness test at a medical centre.
Naturally, the medics discovered I was superhuman, the superhero t-shirt being a dead giveaway. As befits the Flash, I was the fastest man who ever pedalled on that exercise bike. In fact, I broke the time barrier at one point my legs were going so fast.
