Rest in peace, Bob Mitchell!

Okay, so I have a confession to make. I Googled myself tonight. It’s a little vain, sure, but I’m also sure we all do it. Anyway, it seems I’m the fourth most popular Bob Mitchell on the Internet. And I also came across an obituary for the third most popular Bob Mitchell.

He seemed like a really interesting guy. A cinema organist, his career in silent movies ended in 1929 aged just 16 with the advent of talkies. Then almost seven decades later he returns to silent movies and bumps into Johnny Depp.

I guess we didn’t have much in common, apart form a love of movies and our names. Still, I hope I look that cool when I’m 96.
