It’s Splash Page Sunday!

Like a muppet I’ve completely lost where this is from and who drew it. I’m sure it’s from a Marvel UK title, Savage Tales maybe.

Anyway, go enjoy the big version here.

Long before the DC New 52 reboot, Superman was retooled back in the 1980s and I always enjoyed Jerry Ordway’s stuff better than John Byrne’s. This is from Adventures of Superman #448.

Leap over here for the big version.

The White Tiger pic is by George Perez; one of his very early jobs, if I recall from the Comics Journal interview where I first saw it.

  2. cerebus660 says:

That White Tiger poster is a beautiful piece of work! George Perez is one of those artists ( like Barry Windsor-Smith ) whose work visibly improved issue by issue. I remember seeing the White Tiger in the Sons Of The Tiger strip in Deadly Hands Of Kung Fu back in the day, and I always thought he was a cool-looking character.

Ah, cheers guys I NEVER would have pegged that for George Perez!
