Random comic art generator!

One of the best things about British superhero annuals was the new covers we usually got. While US readers might recognise this as being from the classic three-part story that kicked off in DC Comics Presents # 27, they might not have actually seen it before because it never featured on any of the original covers. Plus, the story itself was drawn by Jim Starlin, it was only over here in Blighty that we got the added bonus of Brian Bolland’s work.

And the orginal art is going for $18,500.

    That has to be one of the best UK annuals ever. I don’t recall that superb three-parter ever being collected anywhere else; DC should do it, if for no other reason than to show off that excellent image.
