Vote USA 2008! Barack Obama just lost my vote because of Green Lantern blunder!

I was watching Barack Obama at a rally in Columbus, Ohio, this afternoon and he made a massive gaffe. It was an inexcusable mistake, and it means I can now no longer vote for him.*

He was telling the crowd that John McCain has sided with George W Bush on every important issue, and he said: “He’s not been a maverick, he’s been a sidekick. He’s been Kato to George Bush’s Green Lantern.”

What the hell?!?!?

Come on now! Everyone knows that Kato was the Green Hornet‘s sidekick! The character was made famous by Bruce Lee, who played him in the 1960s TV show.

For the record, this is the Green Hornet and Kato.

Have you ever seen that episode of Batman where The Green Hornet and Kato guest star and Bruce Lee kicks the shit out of Burt Ward's Robin?

This is the Green Lantern.

Power ring, do your thing!

This lack of knowledge about superhero sidekicks is not what we expect from the next President of the United States. Now let’s assume he was talking about the Silver Age Green Lantern, Obama should have compared McCain to Tom “Pieface” Kalmaku. And if he was referring to the the Golden Age Green Lantern, he should have mentioned Doiby Dickles.

*Actually, I can’t vote anyway because I’m Scottish, but if I could vote then I would be through with Obama  right now.

Worse yet, Obama was quoringt Fred Sanford, and he quoted Fred as saying . . . “I coming Weezie, it’s the big one.” We all know that Weezie was from the Jeffersons, and Elizabeth was Fred’s wife. What’s up with that? I guess he was too busy studying “Communist Manifesto of Neocolonialism.”

    Head Games Coming Your Way

Three things the Obama-media will do:

    (1) Calls for McCain to just give up and quit, because the race is over.
    (2) Wild claims of Obama winning states that shock and surprise you
    (3) Repeated insistence that blacks and young people will decide this election, and they are all going to vote in record numbers for Obama.

October 31, 2008 at 3:15 am There is one concern I have about election night… if anyone remembers 2000… media outlets were calling states early for certain candidates while the polls were still open… as a result some people didn’t vote. Also, it’s a fact that Democrats are more likely to take the time to take part in an exit poll than a Republican… I suspect the MSM… will pump this up…and may try and sway the election.

Don’t Count Yourself Out . . . Whatever the issue is, please don’t count yourself out because you think you don’t matter or because you don’t think it will affect you. Your vote does matter.

I got your back Bob. Who do you want me to vote for now?
Awesome post – glad to see Green runs true in you.

“In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!”

    or my MMGL mantra:
Here he comes to save the day,
in blackest night or brightest day.
In evil’s sight, there’s wrong to right.
    Beware this Lantern’s power light,
‘cause Mighty Mouse is here to fight.

    Hi Mr. M,

I suspect that it would be hard for them to get the courts to allow it’s release. But that is certainly an interesting perspective. I just hope we don’t wake up on Wednesday with him being the President-elect.

Has anyone looked into the LA tape as a matter for Homeland Security ? Seeing Obama is running for the top of the chain of command it only reasons that you look into any associations with known terrorists. Under the Patriot Act they don’t have to give it to GOP but they do have to turn it in to Homeland Security .

    FACTS THAT SHOULD SCARE EVERYONE

It amazes me how people have the chutspa to pass off hateful rants as “Facts”. I know this is an old thread but I have to respond. First of all, Sirhan Sirhan was not a Muslim, but a Maronite Christian. Second of all, Bill Ayers was not Obama’s boss. They were acquaintances who worked together on some community projects. Also, he clearly explained that what he meant by “doing more”, was to doing more to stop the Vietnam War, not doing more terrorist acts. I’m not defending Ayers as he is still an asshole for what he did, but painting him to be a lot worse just because you don’t like Obama is silly. Quite honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself.
